L’Atelier Insolite reaches a new milestone. By acquiring Botemo—France’s last remaining footwear mold maker—at the end of 2025, we are doing more than just manufacturing. We now master the entire process from start to finish.
Bringing this rare craft to the heart of the Cholet region means:
- Ultra-Responsiveness: Designing or modifying a mold now takes just a few days, down from 8 weeks.
- Preserving Heritage: Two master experts are passing on their technical know-how to ensure this local expertise thrives.
- 100% In-House: From CAD design to high-precision machining, everything happens right here in Saint-Germain-sur-Moine.
Mastering the mold ensures a perfect fit and total production sovereignty. The circle is complete.
Recycling and recyclability at the heart of the manufacturing process
In addition to the desire to manufacture in France, the aim is also to do things right with a responsible approach. Optimising production processes to reduce waste was a major challenge. The workshop has therefore put in place ‘zero waste’ techniques, in particular recycling products from production by regrinding the material to re-inject it into the production process.
In fact, our Atelier Insolite products have a 95% recyclability rate and are made from at least 20% recycled material (this proportion is increasing every year)!
In short, we believe that nothing is lost and everything is transformed!
Suppliers just a stone's throw away…
We play the local card because our suppliers of moulds and raw materials are located within a 25 km radius. The result? Locally produced products with minimal environmental impact. A truly responsible fox, our Atelier Insolite!
