This CSR approach is now an integral part of our culture, with dedicated priority areas such as waste management.
When the black fox goes carbon hunting
Rays of sunshine for a greener future!
With the installation of new solar shading systems across our head office car park, we're taking a major step towards a greener future! 1100 m² of photovoltaic panels, producing 240 kWh of clean energy... Enough to power our entire site and even give a helping hand to our partner workshop, Atelier Insolite, located 3 km away. The idea? To become more energy self-sufficient, while reducing our carbon footprint. To achieve this, we opted for smart materials: low-carbon concrete and Vision AIRA trucks, which enabled us to reduce the CO2 emissions associated with the work by 10 to 30%. With this project, we're proving that it is possible to combine efficiency and respect for the planet, so that we can move forward with a smile on our faces - and, above all, in the sunshine!

Our commitment to ‘Responsible’ made in France
Jérôme Subileau, Chairman of Blackfox, had had this idea in mind for some time... to open a manufacturing plant in France!
So he surrounded himself with Thomas Roy, a 17-year sales development veteran at Blackfox, and Christophe Lasson, an expert in industrial injection moulding.
Together, they set up Atelier Insolite, a ‘factory in the country’ in the former Blackfox premises, just 3 km from the current headquarters. And now, at the end of 2021, this bold and original project is coming to fruition!
Quality at its best
We monitor working conditions and human rights in our partner factories through AMFORI and BSCI reports. Bureau Veritas also keeps a watchful eye by regularly inspecting our manufacturing sites.
As for our new products, they go through the sieve of our quality department and undergo the meticulous tests of Bureau Veritas and the CTC: bending, abrasion, nothing escapes us! We make sure that everything is perfect, while respecting our CSR commitments.

What lies behind the eco-design of our products?
First and foremost, it's a strategy for choosing materials that are more respectful of the environment, comme l’utilisation de matériaux biosourcés ou des matériaux naturels comme le bambou (utilisé pour une gamme de gants) ainsi que des coquillages broyés. C’est aussi la favorisation de matière recyclée such as polyester and cotton for our glove and footwear ranges.
L’éco-conception dans la tanière du renard noir, c’est également la reducing the environmental impact of our production and sourcing methods, with a significant increase in the proportion of products manufactured in France and Europe.

Here, well-being and conviviality are the order of the day. We encourage activities between colleagues through workshops and team building, so that everyone can find their place and develop fully in their work. Because feeling good in your boots is more than just an expression: it's our reality!
The fox and the bees, a story of preservation
Since 2014, we've been working alongside ‘Un Toit pour les Abeilles’ to look after our pollinators! With our Blackfox hive and a dormitory for solitary bees, we're doing our best to protect biodiversity. We have put all our heart and know-how into creating a website that respects the planet.
How do we do it? It all starts with servers powered by renewable energy. Less CO2, more green! We've also optimised the weight of our pages so that they load at the speed of a fox, reducing the carbon footprint with every click.
We've banned resource-hungry designs. Our site is uncluttered, simple and effective, while remaining stylish. Less data, more eye candy. Our content is designed to be clear and straightforward, so there is no need to go back and forth and spend hours browsing the site.
