Loop hangers
For years, we've been delivering every pair of clogs and shoes with plastic hangers to our garden centre and DIY customers, but it was time for us to put an end to this practice! And so the ‘Hangers in a Loop’ scheme was born…
In January 2023, enough metal coat hangers were delivered to cover the shelves of all our customers, enabling them to hang products delivered without coat hangers on their shelves! It's a great way of reusing metal coat hangers again and again at the point of sale, since consumers are invited to leave their coat hangers on the shelves or at the checkout…
The result of the scheme: almost 25 tonnes less plastic generated by 2023! While it may seem simple on the surface, this practice is not very widespread in specialist or food shops today. So it's a source of great pride for us and our customers to have taken this more virtuous route!
The result?

Plastic isn't really fantastic any more…
Adieu les films plastiques autour des palettes stockées dans nos entrepôts ! Ici encore, ce sont des tonnes de plastique en moins (3T pour être précis !) à la suite de cette suppression.
As for the plastic bags (polybag) around our clogs, they too have disappeared, saving 3 tonnes of plastic a year. Et ce n’est que le début : des tests qualité sont en cours pour étendre cette initiative à d’autres produits et avancer pas à pas vers un chemin plus vert.
